Conservation partners in Namibia

Inspirations

Organizations and initiatives that show us what's possible when communities lead

We don't operate in isolation. Namibia's conservation landscape is rich with organizations, initiatives, and individuals who've been doing this work for decades—often with limited recognition and even less funding.

This page celebrates the ecosystem builders: organizations that demonstrate what's possible when you combine community leadership, practical innovation, and long-term commitment. We learn from them, partner with them, and credit them loudly.

What We Value

Grounded Innovation

We learn from organizations that combine local wisdom with practical innovation—no grand theories, just what works.

Collaborative Spirit

Conservation isn't a competition. We celebrate partners who share knowledge, credit communities, and build networks.

Long-Term Commitment

The organizations we admire stay in the field for decades, building trust and adapting to changing conditions.

Organizations We Admire

These are not exhaustive—just a few examples of the kind of work that inspires us

Sijwa Project

A community-led initiative in the Kavango region focused on sustainable livelihoods, education, and conservation. Their work demonstrates how local knowledge and external support can create lasting impact.

Our Credit Philosophy

We don't claim to have invented community-led conservation. We didn't pioneer CBNRM. We're not the first to recognize that local knowledge matters more than external expertise.

What we do is accelerate existing visions, unblock urgent action, and amplify the work of communities and partners who've been doing this for decades. When we succeed, it's because we stood on the shoulders of organizations like those listed above—and countless community leaders whose names don't appear on websites.

Credit belongs to communities first, partners second, and us last. That's not humility—it's accuracy.
